Source

Human OSMR Protein, Fc Tag (OSR-H5253) is expressed from human 293 cells (HEK293). It contains AA Glu 28 - Met 740 (Accession # Q99650-1).

Predicted N-terminus: Glu 28

Molecular Characterization

This protein carries a human IgG1 Fc tag at the C-terminus.

The protein has a calculated MW of 107.6 kDa. The protein migrates as 130-170 kDa when calibrated against Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

Endotoxin

Less than 0.01 EU per μg by the LAL method / rFC method.

Purity

>95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

>95% as determined by SEC-MALS.

Formulation

Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in PBS, pH7.4 with trehalose as protectant.

Background

Oncostatin-M-specific receptor subunit beta (OSMRβ), also known as Interleukin-31 receptor subunit beta (IL-31RB), is the beta subunit of the type II OSM receptor, which is a heterodimer of gp130 and OSMRβ. OSMRβ associates with the low-affinity OSM·gp130 complex to form a high-affinity heterodimeric receptor that is capable of transducing OSM-specific signaling events.
