Source

Rat CDCP1 Protein, His Tag (CD1-R52H4) is expressed from human 293 cells (HEK293). It contains AA Ser 29 - Thr 666 (Accession # D3ZVA1).

Predicted N-terminus: Ser 29

Molecular Characterization

This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.

The protein has a calculated MW of 73.9 kDa. The protein migrates as 100-130 kDa when calibrated against Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

Endotoxin

Less than 1.0 EU per μg by the LAL method / rFC method.

Purity

>90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

>90% as determined by SEC-MALS.

Formulation

Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in PBS, pH7.4 with trehalose as protectant.

Background

CUB domain-containing protein 1, also know as CDCP1. CDCP1 is a cell surface glycoprotein that has been recognized both as a tumour marker and as a potential target to disrupt progression of cancer. CDCP1 has been shown to modulate cellsubstratum adhesion and motility in colon cancer cell lines.
